“Canadian Sunburst” from the 1973 session was inspired by a month-long trip that David took with his daughter to Canada. “We camped out every night and never slept indoors. It was so wonderful up there that when I got back I wrote a piece to remember the experience.” David takes a spirited alto solo including in a free improvisation section with the rhythm section.
